Finished Block Paving job

Here it is.... Our first completed random Block Paving job. Measuring 36m2, we went through 4 tonnes ballast, 30 bags of cemment and about 5 tonnes of sharp sand. We also used some new 25mm rebar as our screed bars - the extra strength of the 25mm bars meant we could screed a much larger area at once. The whole job took 6 days from start to finish, hampered by the fact that the Proscape van was out of the game for 3 of them.

A valuable lesson was also learnt, which is to always get a mini digger for the first day of the job.

New Logo For Proscape Services

Finally drew up a new logo for Proscape Services, as the Handyman Services logo on the van was no longer appropriate for the work we were carrying out. Handyman Services got me started in the self employed game, and i will always look back on it fondly - it gave me the oppertunity to try many different skills and vocations, which is how i came to make Landscaping and Groundworks my chosed profession.

Random Block Paving

This job was originally specc'ed out as a paving job by the client, but upon our advise the customer was convinced that block paving was a more suitable alternative - and at the same price.

The re-inforced concrete driveway was a complete knightmare to get up, and took a whole day even with a 32kg concrete breaker - but there was a huge sense of achievement when it was finally up and out of the way. Unfortunatly, we didnt even have the Proscape van as it was in the fixers having a the gearbox rebuilt so we couldnt get rid of the spoil until the next day.
